Hey crypto addicts,

Tokenized stocks are getting a new layer of security as Ledger partners with Payward, the parent company of Kraken, to bring xStocks into hardware wallets. The integration will allow eligible users to buy, sell, and transfer tokenized shares while keeping control of their private keys. xStocks has already surpassed $42 billion in total transaction volume, showing how quickly tokenized equities are expanding.

The partnership will also let Kraken customers use Ledger devices to approve supported transactions, adding a physical security step before assets can be moved. Payward plans to bring hundreds of U.S. and international stock tokens into Ledger Wallet, while Ledger Enterprise customers could gain access to trading, custody, payments, and funding services through Kraken’s infrastructure. The companies have not yet provided a date for when every planned feature will be available.

The move highlights how tokenized equities are starting to adopt infrastructure traditionally associated with crypto self-custody. As stocks move onchain, investors are gaining access to familiar market exposure alongside blockchain-based custody and settlement tools. Here’s what you need to know from today’s crypto market.☕

Stablecoins Get Rules

The Federal Reserve is moving to put clearer rules around stablecoin reserves under the GENIUS Act. The proposed framework would require Fed-supervised issuers to fully back payment stablecoins with assets such as short-term U.S. Treasuries and other high-quality liquid assets. It would also introduce capital and risk-management requirements for issuers and firms safeguarding stablecoin reserves.

The Fed also proposed a new approval process for banks seeking to issue stablecoins through subsidiaries. The proposals are now open for public comment, with the window closing 60 days after publication in the Federal Register. The rules are designed to bring more structure to stablecoin issuance while setting clearer standards for reserves, redemptions, and risk controls.

The move marks another major step in bringing stablecoins deeper into the regulated financial system. As banks and payment companies prepare for wider stablecoin use, reserve quality and transparency will become increasingly important. Here’s what you need to know from today’s crypto market.☕

Strive Buys Bitcoin

Strive has raised an estimated $85.88 million through its SATA preferred stock program over three trading sessions, creating potential buying power for around 1,002 BTC. The company raised $27.69 million on Sept. 21, $36.08 million on Sept. 22, and another $22.11 million on Sept. 23. The figures are estimates based on trading data and do not confirm that Strive has already purchased the Bitcoin.

The latest fundraising comes after Strive reported holding 26,355 BTC following a 1,355 BTC purchase the previous week. Meanwhile, Strategy recently added 950 BTC for $75.7 million, taking its holdings to 846,000 BTC. The contrasting moves highlight the different ways public companies are using equity and preferred-stock programs to finance Bitcoin accumulation.

Corporate Bitcoin treasuries remain an important part of the market as companies continue developing new ways to raise capital for BTC purchases. Strive’s latest SATA activity shows how preferred-stock financing can provide another route for building a Bitcoin treasury. Here’s what you need to know from today’s crypto market.☕

CLARITY Gets Another Chance

The CLARITY Act could get another chance this year despite failing to advance in the Senate. Former congressman Tim Ryan said lawmakers could still reach a deal during the post-midterm lame-duck session. The Sept. 15 procedural vote failed 49–50, but it was not a final vote on the bill itself.

Key disagreements remain over ethics, consumer protection, illicit finance, and stablecoin rewards. Ryan said resolving those issues could reopen bipartisan negotiations and give the legislation a path forward later this year. The bill would establish a federal framework for digital assets and clarify responsibilities between the SEC and CFTC.

The latest development keeps U.S. crypto regulation in focus as lawmakers weigh whether to revisit the legislation after the midterm elections. Until then, SEC and CFTC actions remain an important source of regulatory direction for the industry. Here’s what you need to know from today’s crypto market.☕
