Hey crypto addicts,

Michael Saylor is once again hinting at more Bitcoin purchases, keeping Strategy’s aggressive accumulation strategy in focus as the company’s holdings reach 848,250 BTC. In an October 18 post, Saylor wrote, “We found room for more orange,” suggesting that another purchase could be on the horizon. While the message has sparked speculation, Strategy has yet to confirm a new transaction following its latest disclosure.

The company’s most recent filing showed that Strategy purchased 250 BTC for approximately $21.5 million during the week ending October 11, bringing its total Bitcoin investment to around $64 billion. However, its capital allocation tells a broader story: Strategy spent $192.4 million repurchasing its preferred shares during the same period, nearly nine times the amount allocated to Bitcoin. The figures highlight how the company is balancing further accumulation with its financing commitments.

With Bitcoin trading near $81,000 on October 18, Strategy’s reported average acquisition price of $75,444 leaves its holdings above their aggregate cost basis. The key question now is whether Saylor’s latest signal will lead to another confirmed purchase, potentially reinforcing institutional confidence in Bitcoin, or whether Strategy will continue prioritizing its broader capital management strategy. Either way, the company’s next move remains closely watched by the market. Here’s what you need to know from today’s crypto market.

Wallet Security Showdown

A public dispute between Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier and former Mt. Gox chief Mark Karpelès has put hardware wallet security under scrutiny following reports of more than $90 million in suspected crypto thefts linked to tampered devices. The devices allegedly contained hidden electronic implants designed to steal users’ 24-word recovery phrases, raising questions about how effectively Ledger warned customers about the risks.

Karpelès argued that stronger warnings could have helped prevent the losses, while Gauthier defended Ledger’s security efforts and pushed back against the criticism. Beyond the public clash, the incident highlights a serious risk for crypto holders: even hardware wallets can be compromised if tampered with before reaching users.

To protect your assets, buy hardware wallets directly from manufacturers or authorized sellers, initialize them yourself, and never use a device that arrives with a prewritten recovery phrase. Keep your recovery phrase offline, never share it or enter it on a website, and consider testing your wallet with a small transaction before transferring larger amounts. Ethereum Faces Deeper Pressure

Crypto investment funds are facing renewed selling pressure, with U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recording $320.1 million in net outflows during the week ending October 16, surpassing Bitcoin ETF withdrawals of $228.4 million. The figures suggest investors are becoming more cautious across the market, with Ethereum funds experiencing particularly heavy redemptions.

BlackRock’s Ethereum ETF, ETHA, accounted for nearly $299 million of the weekly withdrawals, representing most of the category’s net outflows. Ethereum ETFs also extended their losing streak to three consecutive weeks, while Bitcoin funds managed to attract fresh capital on two trading days despite finishing the week in negative territory.

With both Bitcoin and Ethereum prices under pressure, the latest ETF flows highlight persistent uncertainty among institutional investors. However, outflows alone do not confirm a long-term bearish trend, and a sustained return to positive flows could signal improving confidence. Crypto Scam Crackdown

Binance and Coinbase have joined an international crackdown on online scam networks operating in West Africa, resulting in 28 arrests across Ghana and Nigeria. The coordinated operation, led by law enforcement agencies and supported by technology and crypto companies, targeted fraudulent investment schemes, impersonation scams, and criminal networks exploiting victims worldwide. Private-sector partners identified more than $11 million in funds that could potentially be frozen, although authorities have not confirmed that the full amount was recovered.

In Ghana, authorities arrested 19 suspects and identified 117 people believed to have been trafficked and forced to work in scam operations. Nigerian authorities arrested another nine suspects, while Coinbase helped identify more than 65 potential scam victims and reported preventing over $415,000 in possible losses. Meta also removed more than 3.7 million suspicious accounts, pages, and groups linked to the activity.

The operation highlights how collaboration between exchanges, technology firms, and law enforcement can help trace illicit crypto transactions and disrupt fraud networks. However, the scale of these schemes reinforces the need for investors to remain cautious, verify investment opportunities, and avoid sending funds to strangers promising guaranteed returns. Own the future of agriculture robotics

Find out why the biggest food companies are quietly investing in this herbicide-free tech.

Greenfield Robotics is building a new category of agricultural equipment: autonomous robots designed to help farmers manage weeds with precision.

What does “autonomous” mean? Greenfield’s robots are built to navigate fields, identify weeds, and perform targeted weed removal with minimal human intervention.

But the bigger opportunity may be the platform itself. It raises a bigger question: if robots can autonomously manage weeds, what other farm tasks could they eventually take on?

Greenfield is already expanding the platform beyond weeding, with feeding, spraying, and cover-crop planting on the roadmap.

The vision: a new generation of farm equipment that can perform more work autonomously—potentially reducing dependence on chemical inputs and the rising costs associated with conventional farming.

Investors can own a stake in Greenfield Robotics through its Regulation A+ offering. Up to 20% bonus shares this round.

This Reg A+ offering is made available through StartEngine Primary, LLC, member FINRA/SIPC. Please read the Offering Circular and related disclosures before investing. This investment is speculative, illiquid, and involves a high degree of risk, including the possible loss of your entire investment.

Cointelegraph’s October 18 crypto roundup highlighted growing momentum in stablecoin adoption and AI infrastructure, with Tether and HIVEN joining AIsa as strategic investors in a funding round that brought the company’s total funding to more than $9 million. A Reuters/Ipsos poll found that most Americans oppose using prediction markets to bet on US elections and government decisions, highlighting growing public concerns as platforms such as Polymarket and Kalshi expand. The survey, conducted among 4,506 US adults from September 30 to October 5, 2026, showed that 69% of Democrats and 61% of Republicans opposed betting on election outcomes
