Hey crypto addicts,
Crypto startups across the GCC are getting a new compliance push as Nephos Group partners with accelerator Brinc to support more than 250 portfolio companies. The partnership will provide help with accounting, tax, corporate structuring, banking, tokenization, and proof-of-reserve reporting. For stablecoin and Web3 founders, the goal is to build these systems earlier instead of dealing with compliance issues after launch.
The move comes as digital-asset rules across the Gulf become more detailed, creating additional requirements for companies operating across multiple jurisdictions. Nephos and Brinc will also run workshops covering compliance readiness, cross-border structures, tokenization, and reserve reporting. For startups targeting international markets, the right financial and regulatory infrastructure is becoming part of the product-building process itself.
The partnership highlights how crypto’s next phase in the GCC is increasingly tied to institutional-grade infrastructure and regulatory readiness. As stablecoins and tokenized assets expand, startups will need to navigate banking, reserves, licensing, and cross-border rules alongside technology. Stocks Meet Blockchain

Tokenized U.S. stocks are moving closer to traditional securities infrastructure as Prometheum, HashKey, and Velocity Capital prepare a framework for international investors. The proposed model would back tokens with real shares held at the Depository Trust Company, rather than synthetic exposure or offshore wrappers. Investors could potentially redeem tokens for conventional shares or cash through the existing securities system.
The structure would give token holders securities entitlements under U.S. custody rules, while Cede & Co. remains the registered owner of the underlying shares. The pilot could cover Russell 1000 companies, major ETFs, and U.S. Treasury securities, subject to regulatory approval and technical integration. It comes as the SEC has also opened a temporary framework for trading certain tokenized U.S. stocks onchain.
The move shows how tokenization is increasingly connecting blockchain markets with established financial infrastructure. The focus is shifting from simply putting assets onchain to preserving the ownership rights and protections attached to them. Here’s what you need to know from today’s crypto market.☕
MiCA Rules Revisited

The ECB and EU central banks are calling for changes to MiCA’s stablecoin reserve rules, arguing that mandatory bank deposits could create liquidity risks. The current framework requires issuers to hold at least 30% of reserves in bank deposits, rising to 60% for significant stablecoins. The ECB instead wants reserves to focus on highly liquid assets that can mature within one to five working days.
The proposal echoes concerns Tether raised in 2024 about large stablecoin reserves being concentrated in commercial banks. European central banks say sudden redemptions could force issuers to withdraw deposits quickly and put pressure on banks. The recommendation is now part of the European Commission’s ongoing review of MiCA.
The debate highlights how regulators are still adjusting the rules around stablecoins as their role in financial markets grows. Any changes could reshape how issuers manage reserves and interact with traditional banks across Europe. Here’s what you need to know from today’s crypto market.☕
Bitcoin Breaks Higher

Bitcoin has pushed above $86,000 and briefly reached $87,000, marking its highest level since January. The move came alongside renewed U.S. spot ETF demand, falling oil prices, lower Treasury yields, and a wave of short covering. U.S. Bitcoin ETFs recorded $433 million in inflows on Friday, reversing much of the selling seen earlier in the week.
Analysts said the ETF inflows appear to be confirming the rally rather than starting it, with Bitcoin first breaking key resistance before institutional demand returned. The price also moved above its 50-week moving average for the first time in 45 weeks, adding another technical signal to the recovery. Bitcoin’s next major levels are now around $87,000 and the psychological $90,000 mark.
The latest move shows how spot demand, derivatives positioning, and broader macro conditions are combining to drive Bitcoin’s recovery. However, analysts continue to watch ETF flows, Treasury yields, and geopolitical developments for signs of whether the momentum can hold. Here’s what you need to know from today’s crypto market.☕

The U.S. Senate’s failure to advance the CLARITY Act could push the crypto industry to increase its focus on the 2026 midterm elections. Senators voted 49-50 on Sept. 15, falling short of the 60 votes needed to move the digital-asset market structure bill forward, although lawmakers could revisit it during a post-election “lame-duck” session.
