Hey crypto addicts,
Bitcoin slipped more than 2% after renewed inflation concerns and rising oil prices weakened risk appetite ahead of the latest U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) report. The decline has placed the $63,900 support level firmly in focus, with traders closely watching whether buyers can defend this critical area or if another leg lower is about to unfold.
Inflation data remains one of the biggest drivers of market sentiment because it heavily influences expectations for Federal Reserve interest rate decisions. A hotter-than-expected CPI reading could delay potential rate cuts, strengthen the U.S. dollar and place additional pressure on risk assets such as Bitcoin and the broader cryptocurrency market.
Despite the short-term weakness, Bitcoin continues to trade within a broader consolidation range, with volatility expected to increase following the inflation release. Whether bulls can reclaim momentum or bears force a deeper correction will likely depend on how markets interpret the latest economic data and its impact on future monetary policy. ☕

Wall Street Tokenizes

Broadridge processed more than $8 trillion in repurchase agreement (repo) transactions through its blockchain-based Distributed Ledger Repo (DLR) platform during July, with average daily volumes reaching $365 billion. The milestone highlights the accelerating adoption of blockchain technology across traditional financial markets.
The DLR platform enables major financial institutions to settle repo transactions using distributed ledger technology while integrating with existing market infrastructure. By supporting faster settlement, tokenized collateral and improved liquidity management, the platform is helping reduce operational costs and increase capital efficiency.
The achievement demonstrates how blockchain is moving beyond cryptocurrency and becoming a core component of institutional finance. As tokenization continues gaining momentum, platforms like Broadridge's are helping bridge traditional financial markets with the next generation of digital asset infrastructure. ☕
MiCA Reshapes Europe

More than 1,060 crypto firms across the European Economic Area (EEA) have failed to secure authorization under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, forcing many to either exit the market, restructure their operations or transfer customers to licensed providers. The figures highlight the sweeping impact of Europe's new unified regulatory framework.
The data also reveals a significant difference in risk profiles between licensed and unlicensed firms. Unauthorized providers were found to have substantially higher risk ratings and greater exposure to sanctioned counterparties, reinforcing regulators' argument that MiCA is designed to improve consumer protection and strengthen oversight across the digital asset industry.
As Europe continues implementing one of the world's most comprehensive crypto regulatory frameworks, MiCA is rapidly reshaping the competitive landscape. While some firms are leaving the market, those that successfully obtain authorization are expected to benefit from greater credibility, cross-border access and increased institutional confidence as crypto regulation continues to mature. ☕

SEC Eyes Reform

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is set to hold a key meeting on August 14 to consider new rules tailored specifically for crypto investment offerings. The proposal aims to create a clearer regulatory framework for digital asset fundraising, replacing much of the uncertainty that has surrounded token launches in recent years.
The proposed framework, often referred to as "Regulation Crypto," would introduce dedicated disclosure requirements and compliance pathways for qualifying crypto investment contracts. Regulators hope the new approach will provide greater legal certainty for developers while maintaining investor protections and improving transparency across the industry.
The meeting could mark one of the SEC's most significant crypto policy shifts to date. While broader legislation such as the CLARITY Act remains under debate in Congress, the SEC is moving ahead with its own rulemaking, signalling that regulatory clarity for digital assets continues to gather momentum in the United States. ☕

SharpLink reported a $394.3 million net loss for the second quarter, largely driven by $321 million in unrealized losseson its Ethereum holdings and $76 million in impairment charges. Despite the headline loss, the company generated $11.2 million in Ethereum staking revenue, highlighting that its growing ETH treasury is producing yield even as accounting rules reflect crypto price volatility.
Following the recent Coldcard hardware wallet exploit, investigators are relying on blockchain analytics to trace stolen Bitcoin across the public ledger. While every Bitcoin transaction is permanently recorded, determining the full scale of losses is more difficult because many affected funds were held in self-custody wallets, requiring victims to come forward before losses can be confirmed.
Anthropic has reportedly signed a $9 billion, 20-year compute agreement with Bitcoin miner Riot Platforms, securing 191 megawatts of data center capacity from Riot's Rockdale, Texas campus to power its AI infrastructure. The deal highlights the growing trend of Bitcoin miners diversifying into AI and high-performance computing, leveraging their existing power infrastructure as demand for AI compute continues to surge.
