Hey crypto addicts,

Cysic has suspended its cross-chain bridge after an attacker exploited a security flaw to mint 10 million unauthorized CYS tokens on BNB Smart Chain. The incident reportedly involved unauthorized access to a database supporting the bridge, allowing fraudulent messages to trigger new token issuance. While the project moved quickly to restrict the attacker’s wallet, the exploit has raised fresh concerns about vulnerabilities in cross-chain infrastructure.

Cysic blacklisted the address holding the newly minted tokens, freezing approximately 2.8 million CYS. However, on-chain data indicates that around 7.2 million tokens were moved before the restriction, with roughly $727,000 in proceeds reportedly transferred to Ethereum. The project has not confirmed its final financial losses and says its mainnet and existing assets in user wallets were unaffected.

The incident highlights how weaknesses in bridge infrastructure can create serious risks even when a blockchain’s core network remains secure. Cysic has hired an external security firm to investigate and plans to publish a follow-up report. As the review continues, the case reinforces the importance of monitoring bridge security and verifying incident updates before making investment decisions. Banks Challenge Stablecoins

A new study from the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) suggests that traditional banks could slow stablecoin growth by offering customers better deposit rates. Researchers found that a one-basis-point increase in US bank deposit rates was associated with roughly three percentage points less stablecoin market-cap growth over the following ten weeks. The findings suggest that investors may weigh the returns offered by traditional banking against the convenience of holding dollar-pegged digital assets.

The impact was stronger for Circle’s USDC, whose growth slowed by an estimated 4.8 percentage points, compared with 1.9 percentage points for Tether’s USDT. The researchers suggest this difference may reflect USDC’s closer ties to American institutions, while USDT has a broader international user base. However, the study does not prove that funds leaving stablecoins flow directly into bank deposits or increase bank lending.

As stablecoins become more widely used for payments and decentralized finance, the findings add another dimension to the debate over their impact on the traditional banking system. Higher deposit rates could make bank accounts more attractive, but stablecoins continue to offer advantages in digital payments and global transfers. The research highlights how competition between traditional finance and crypto may increasingly depend on both yield and utility. Here’s what you need to know from today’s crypto market.☕

Treasuries Go Global

Tokenized U.S. Treasuries are attracting growing interest from overseas investors, with Italy, Portugal, and Singapore accounting for 66.9% of holdings with identifiable geographic locations, according to data attributed to Chainalysis. The United States represented just 10.5% of that identified value, highlighting how blockchain-based financial products are expanding access to American government debt beyond domestic markets.

The market has also grown rapidly, reaching $15.42 billion by July 1, 2026, up 125% from $6.86 billion a year earlier. By putting Treasury-backed investments on blockchain networks, tokenization can lower investment barriers and allow international investors to access these products without necessarily opening a U.S. brokerage account. However, the geographic figures cover only holdings whose locations could be identified, rather than the entire market.

The trend highlights how blockchain technology is connecting traditional finance with global crypto infrastructure. As tokenized real-world assets continue to expand, government debt could become an increasingly important part of on-chain finance, offering investors access to yield-bearing products while creating new opportunities for adoption. Solana Tests Support

Solana has slipped below $105 as renewed selling pressure weighs on the broader market, even as Yuga Labs launches a new NFT trading card collection on the network. SOL was trading near $104 on October 18, down approximately 5.6% over seven days after retreating from its earlier rally toward $120. The decline highlights the contrast between ongoing ecosystem development and weakening market momentum.

Yuga Labs’ new collection, Mudwater, combines physical and digital trading cards featuring artwork from the Bored Ape Yacht Club ecosystem. Eligible Bored Ape holders can claim ten packs per NFT, while Mutant Ape holders receive two, with 240,000 packs available across the collection. The project also allocates 2.5% of eligible NFT trading value toward purchasing ApeCoin rewards for collectors, expanding the Bored Ape ecosystem onto Solana.

For traders, the key level is now around $100, where a sustained defense could support a recovery attempt, while a decisive break lower may expose SOL to further downside. Although new projects can strengthen network activity over time, their launches do not necessarily translate into immediate price gains. Here’s what you need to know from today’s crypto market.☕

Own the future of agriculture robotics

Find out why the biggest food companies are quietly investing in this herbicide-free tech.

Greenfield Robotics is building a new category of agricultural equipment: autonomous robots designed to help farmers manage weeds with precision.

What does “autonomous” mean? Greenfield’s robots are built to navigate fields, identify weeds, and perform targeted weed removal with minimal human intervention.

But the bigger opportunity may be the platform itself. It raises a bigger question: if robots can autonomously manage weeds, what other farm tasks could they eventually take on?

Greenfield is already expanding the platform beyond weeding, with feeding, spraying, and cover-crop planting on the roadmap.

The vision: a new generation of farm equipment that can perform more work autonomously—potentially reducing dependence on chemical inputs and the rising costs associated with conventional farming.

Investors can own a stake in Greenfield Robotics through its Regulation A+ offering. Up to 20% bonus shares this round.

This Reg A+ offering is made available through StartEngine Primary, LLC, member FINRA/SIPC. Please read the Offering Circular and related disclosures before investing. This investment is speculative, illiquid, and involves a high degree of risk, including the possible loss of your entire investment.
