Hey crypto addicts,
Bitcoin is becoming less volatile as deeper liquidity and growing institutional participation reshape the market. BlackRock’s Jay Jacobs said Bitcoin’s volatility has fallen from around 80 to the 35–40 range, pointing to ETFs, options, deeper liquidity, and a growing base of long-term holders as key factors. The shift suggests Bitcoin is increasingly being used as a financial asset rather than simply a high-risk speculative trade.
Bitcoin ETFs are also giving large holders more ways to use their exposure without selling, including potential collateralized borrowing and options strategies. BlackRock’s IBIT has become part of this broader financial ecosystem, with institutional investors gaining easier access to lending, hedging, and portfolio management tools around Bitcoin.
The decline in volatility highlights how quickly Bitcoin’s market structure is evolving as traditional finance becomes more involved. With ETFs, derivatives, and institutional liquidity continuing to expand, Bitcoin is gradually becoming more integrated into the broader financial system. Strategy Takes Off

Strategy shares have surged 47.65% over the past month, making the Bitcoin treasury company the strongest performer among Nasdaq-100 constituents through September 18. MSTR closed at $153.92 after jumping 16.39% in one session as Bitcoin climbed back above $80,000. The rally highlights how sharply Strategy’s stock can move alongside Bitcoin.
Strategy held 845,050 BTC as of September 13, acquired for roughly $63.73 billion at an average cost of $75,412 per Bitcoin. The company has paused Bitcoin purchases for two consecutive reporting periods while directing capital toward repurchasing its STRC preferred shares. MSTR’s latest rally therefore comes despite its Bitcoin holdings remaining unchanged.
The move puts Strategy back in focus as Bitcoin-linked equities respond to renewed strength in the crypto market. It also shows how corporate Bitcoin strategies can create significant swings in equity markets beyond the underlying asset itself. Here’s what you need to know from today’s crypto market.☕
Crypto Violence Escalates

A French crypto worker and his family were reportedly held hostage in their home as attackers demanded access to cryptocurrency worth around €40,000. Four suspects allegedly restrained the family for more than three hours before fleeing, and no arrests had been announced in the latest update. The case adds to a growing number of physical attacks targeting people connected to crypto in France.
French authorities recorded 77 crypto-linked kidnappings and unlawful detentions through July 2026, while Chainalysis documented 46 crypto-related physical attacks globally during the first half of the year. The data points to a broader security challenge as personal information about crypto holders can expose individuals and their families to physical targeting.
The incident highlights that crypto security extends beyond wallets and private keys, with physical privacy becoming an increasingly important part of protecting digital assets. As authorities and blockchain firms strengthen their response, limiting public exposure of crypto holdings and personal information is becoming a key security consideration. Here’s what you need to know from today’s crypto market.☕
Coinbase Eyes Stocks

The SEC’s new five-year exemption for tokenized U.S. stocks could open a path for Coinbase to expand its onchain equity business in the U.S. The framework allows qualifying platforms to trade tokenized shares through permissioned automated market makers, provided the tokens carry the same shareholder rights as traditional stocks. Coinbase already offers tokenized stocks internationally, giving it existing infrastructure to build around.
Coinbase would still need to meet the SEC’s conditions before operating in the U.S., including using an eligible AMM structure and complying with trading limits and other requirements. The framework also excludes synthetic stock tokens that only provide price exposure without actual shareholder rights.
The move creates a new regulatory pathway for blockchain-based equity markets while keeping the initial experiment tightly controlled. As Coinbase and other crypto platforms explore the opportunity, tokenized stocks could become an increasingly important bridge between traditional markets and onchain finance.☕
