Hey crypto addicts,

Bitcoin has become one of the world’s largest pools of digital capital, but most BTC still sits idle. Stacks is trying to change that by building an ecosystem where Bitcoin can be used for staking, lending, trading and other financial applications without leaving its native network.

The roadmap starts with self-custodial Bitcoin staking, targeting roughly 3% annualized rewards paid in BTC. From there, Stacks plans to expand its infrastructure and build deeper financial applications around Bitcoin, including lending, perpetuals and programmable capital.

The bigger picture is the push to make Bitcoin productive rather than simply something to hold. If Stacks can successfully connect BTC with a broader DeFi ecosystem while preserving self-custody, it could help establish a new layer of Bitcoin-native finance.☕

Market Watch ☕

Prediction Markets Evolve

Nansen is becoming the first major front-end to support Outcome.xyz’s HIP-4 markets, giving users access to prediction markets directly through its analytics platform. The integration brings real-time market data and trading capabilities closer together in a single interface.

HIP-4 allows developers to create custom prediction markets around a wide range of events, expanding beyond traditional political and sports contracts. Nansen’s integration could make these markets easier to discover while giving traders more data to evaluate potential positions.

The bigger picture is the rapid evolution of prediction markets into a broader financial primitive. As analytics, trading and event-based markets become increasingly connected, prediction markets could develop into a significant part of the onchain trading ecosystem.☕

CLARITY Act Under Pressure

The CLARITY Act is heading toward a critical Senate vote on September 15, but its chances of passing are weakening as lawmakers remain divided over ethics rules, stablecoin rewards and DeFi protections. Republicans need bipartisan support to reach the 60-vote threshold.

The biggest roadblock is an ethics dispute involving crypto interests connected to President Trump and his family. Democrats want stronger restrictions, while negotiations have reportedly stalled, leaving limited time for lawmakers to reach a compromise.

The bigger picture is significant for the entire U.S. crypto industry. If the bill fails, companies could face continued regulatory uncertainty and a slower path toward clear market rules, making the upcoming Senate vote a major moment for crypto regulation.☕

Robinhood Bets Big

Robinhood is deepening its prediction-market strategy through a new deal with Crypto.com and OG.com, taking equity stakes in both companies while routing selected event contracts through OG.com’s regulated derivatives platform.

The partnership will expand Robinhood’s access to prediction markets covering sports, elections, economic data and other events. With prediction-market revenue already reaching record levels, Robinhood is clearly looking to make this a much bigger part of its trading ecosystem.

The bigger picture is the growing competition for the prediction-market boom. As platforms like Robinhood, Crypto.com, Kalshi and others fight for users and liquidity, prediction markets are quickly evolving from a niche product into a major financial category.☕
